Creative for a Cause

Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program has been working with the creative folks at Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO) for several years and we are excited to formally announce them as our official marketing communications agency. TRIO is located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – a friendly suburb of the nation’s most 

hospitable city, Charleston. TRIO has been the mastermind behind the Chemo Duck brand for years and together, our organizations will strive to continue to raise awareness about the Chemo Duck Program and to provide huggable hope to every child living with cancer.

TRIO specializes in advertising, public relations, graphic design, social media, event planning and Web solutions. They are a creative group with a passion for life and giving back and for that and many other reasons, we love working with Team TRIO.

The Gift of Sunshine

Tim Richards, owner of Let It Shine Gymnastics, takes this scripture whole-heartedly. For the past 30 years, Richards and his wife Janie, have created more than just a program to teach gymnastics.

“We are a kid ministry,” said Richards. “We try to partner up with different organizations in our area to minister to those in need.

“What Lu is doing with Chemo Duck and Gabe’s My Heart is amazing. Hospitals are such tough places and if there is anything we can do to make things more comfortable or bring peace to the little ones, then we are all for it.”

Over the past year, Richards has committed to sponsoring 200 ducks that will be utilized by children, families and hospitals to teach children about the various medical therapies they will experience over the course of their cancer treatments.

Richards hopes that his gyms’ support of the program will help provide a little sunshine to the thousands of children battling cancer.

“We have known Gabe and his family for years,” said Richards. “He has been involved in our program.

“Seeing Gabe and knowing what Lu is working so hard to accomplish, we feel good standing shoulder to shoulder with such a wonderful ministry.”

Let It Shine has programs in both the Cool Springs and Spring Hill, Tennessee areas.

Summer Facebook Contest

Summertime is sliding by too quickly, as usual. If you follow us on Facebook, you know that we have asked our fans to info@chemoduck.org e-mail us your best summer vacation photo of you with your Chemo Duck. We will take submissions through July 31 and upload an album of all the photos to our Facebook page. This album will open up for a public vote from August 1 through August 8. The photo that receives the most ‘likes’ by noon on Wednesday, the 8th, swill win their very own pair of Chemo Duck-customized OrigAudio headphones!
